July is over, but August is right on our doorstep and that means there’s plenty of summer left. What better way to spend a summer night than with some of your favorite stand-up comedians?
We’re more than thrilled to welcome out faithful fans back to the Comedy Connection after a long year away from shows that bring enjoyment to so many of us. August is shaping up to be a great month to catch some of the biggest names in comedy. We’ve got some amazing talent lined up to take the stage.
Majah Hype: Majah Hype began his stand-up career in 2012. The raspy-voiced comedian is known to his adoring fans as “the Caribbean King of Comedy.” He has his own brand of humor he calls “reality comedy.” Hype produces and stars in online features with characters that poke fun at various stereotypes associated with Caribbean, Latin and African-American cultures. Majah improvises his routines while he’s on stage to deliver unscripted punchlines focused on everyday experiences that connect Afro-Caribbean people. He’ll be taking the Comedy Connection stage on Friday, August 6th.
Bill Burr & Friends : A Benefit in Memory of our Friend and Brother Wayne Previdi: Bill Burr is a Grammy-nominated comedian and regularly sells out shows across the globe. He is well-known for his work in TV, film and on stage. Burr made his debut as host of Saturday Night Live on October 10, 2020. He often portrays himself as “that loud guy at the bar” and uses a style described as “rage-fueled humor” to keep audiences laughing. Come out on Wednesday, August 11th for a night of comedy not to be missed.
John Mulaney: From Scratch: John Mulaney has become one of the biggest names in comedy and will be performing in a Comedy Connection record 21 straight sold out shows from 8/14 to 8/29. Mulaney is well-known for his appearances on Saturday Night Live and various comedy specials. His ability to give audiences a comedic spin on what’s going on in his life has made him a fan-favorite. The popular stand-up comedian is performing all-new material that fans won’t want to miss.
Gabriel Iglesias: Beyond The Fluffy World Tour – Go Big Or Go Home: Iglesias is one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians and has performed sold-out stand-up shows around the world. He is one of the most popular comedians on YouTube with over 412,000,000 views and has over 15 million fans across social media. The comedian’s distinct style appeals to a variety of individuals and helps him maintain a diverse audience. Come see him at the Comedy Connection on Sunday, August 22nd.
Comedy is back in Boston and we couldn’t be more excited for the comedians scheduled to take the Comedy Connection stage. A night full of laughs at one of Boston’s best comedy clubs is a great way to relax and enjoy yourself.
